( tang has 2 holes one looks to have been drilled) the handle is good with tight original binding and standard naval fittings, the tsuba and seppa (spacers) are all numbered 12. the black lacquered wood saya in in good condition with only a couple of minor marks, overall appart from the extra hole in the tang it is a good clean original naval sword.
